Children’s activities at Time + Tide Safaris are tailored to inspire and engage children of all ages on safari. Over and above action-packed game drives, there’s a whole host of activities to keep children busy and happy, from tracking with our guides to cooking with our chefs, from arts and crafts with our team in camp to conservation and community excursions with our team at the Time + Tide Foundation. A tailormade, flexible family offering
Time + Tide Safaris has a range of options for family accommodation across the prime national parks of Zambia. Choose from luxurious two-bedroom family safari tents at Chinzombo, or authentic seasonal camps in South Luangwa, with family safari tents available at Mchenja and Kakuli. Opt for a family suite (Albida) at Chongwe, or enjoy the exclusivity of Chongwe House, a standalone 4-bedroom house on the banks of the Chongwe river in the Lower Zambezi. Families will feel at home throughout our camps, with a warm, welcoming team and a flexible approach to service. Game drives, activities and meals times are flexible and personalised according to your family’s preferences.

Generous child rates
- Children of all ages welcome in all safari camps.
- When sharing with an adult, children under 18 years old are 50% of the nightly adult rate, Park Fees and Conservation Levies. Children 3 and under are free of charge when sharing with an adult.
- Families of four or less members, including at least one child younger than 12 years, are required to book and pay for the use of a private vehicle for the duration of their stay.
- Adults are responsible for supervising children at all times.
- Minimum age for walking, canoeing and sleepouts is 12 years old and at the discretion of the guide.
